Reminded of Purpose and Identity
This church came into our lives like a spring in the desert, at a time when we were so dry. We had just had our 3rd child and didn't know exactly how much life would change from then until now, but God did. God knew that those 3 kids would only be the beginning, God knew that we would need those smiling faces on Sunday to get us through the week. God saw us stressing about how we would buy Christmas presents that year, and He has provided people in this church to provide for our Christmases EVERY YEAR since. He saw me sobbing in my front yard when I found out we would soon have baby #7, and He sent His servants to minister His word, faithfully, EVERY time and reassure me of the goodness, the faithfulness, and the perfect will of God, my Father. He sent me those who would rejoice with me when we found out it was one more girl, and even had people sow abundantly into us some of the most beautiful crochet blankets and hats we've ever seen. With a musician in the family, you get to experience many different churches, but none of them have ever had so many genuine, kind, generous, uplifting, empathetic, and faithful people than we have experienced here. Even as we have become consumed, when we have felt like we were losing our identities, and drowning in the chaos, this church has been full of those that moved by God's spirit and reminded us about our purpose and identity in Him. We love you all so much, and pray that EACH of you are accelerated forward in your purpose, encouraged in your gifts, and blessed beyond measure, just as we have been.
